Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. - Colossians 3:2
The other day I went to a 40th wedding anniversary celebration. It's was nice to see so many friends I have not spoken too in a while. It was interesting as one person shared about how they felt a need to be doing more for the kingdom of heaven than they already were doing. Another friend said the same thing to me about a month ago as well. It got me thinking about how we all have a call on our lives to share the good news of Jesus where ever we go by any means beyond just our words. Our actions should speak on our behalf before a word is spoken. People need living examples of hope and we have been commanded to be just that. Our greatest struggle is to balance our time with our responsibilities. This world has become the greatest marketplace of distraction. Everything is fighting to consume our time and attention and keep us from what matters the most which are building the kingdom of heaven here on earth. Our time is short and many will agree we are living in the last days. We all, including myself must be more aware of other ways we can share our hope with those in need. There is an opportunity to leave a Godly legacy that will last beyond our time spent here in this lifetime. May the Holy Spirit grant us wisdom to see with new eyes and show us how to lay a foundation that is eternal so that others can benefit. Amen!
