Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; - Ephesians 5:19

One of the great joys of my Christian walk is engaging in praise and worship and especially with a small group of friends or sining on the worship band at my church. For me when my heart is right and my focus is on the Lord, singing praises to him is like being in his throne room face to face. My heart is so filled with joy I can hardly contain myself sometimes. I feel so close and connected to him and begin to feel and understand his heart. I have learned over the years that an important part of entering into this special place requires me to yield to the holy spirit and allow him to direct my praise to the point of complete surrender. Regardless if you can sing or not we are called to be led by the spirit and filled with joy so that we can praise his name alone or with others brings us to deeper place in God. I once heard a pastor say that singing praises unto God is like spiritual CPR. As we praise him all the bad things inside us start to come out of us and then it's replaced with love and joy and a new found hope and reminder of how much we have to be grateful for in our lives. So let us heed the words of the apostle Paul and make melody in our hearts unto the Lord and to each other so that our joy may be full in him !

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
