The Lord bless thee, and keep thee:The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. - Numbers 6:24-26

This is probably the most quoted verse spoken as a closing prayer at the end of a church service. God charged Moses to declare this blessing over Arron and the Israelites before they moved forward. It's a powerful example of how the Lord cares for his people. But it is also a high calling to be set apart for the Lord's use . Becoming a living example of his ways in a world that seeks to exalt itself above all is no easy task. They had to prepare themselves to recieve this blessing and allow it to take root in their hearts as they prepared to leave sinai. The road that laid ahead of them would not be easy and God wanted to reashure them of his promises to them so they would have confidence in his provision when things became difficult. We also today should be mindful of God's promises to us by the victory Jesus provided to us from his death and ressurection. Only then can we face life's challenges knowing the God we serve is on our side and, will never leave or forsake us.
