I would like to preface this piece with the fact that I’ve not read the original Little Women book or watched any of the previous adaptations. I have however tried my best to read as much as I can about what people have said about them when compared to this film

Many movies for the longest time have been marketed as having a ‘star studded cast’. Whether its RDJ and all the Chris(s) in Avengers or an ensemble film like Love Actually, production studios throw big bucks to as many big names as possible with the hope to attract the…

How we all could apply a little Mamba Mentality to our lives

Kobe Bryant died on 26th January 2020. He and his 13-year old daughter Gianna crashed in a helicopter along with 7 others on the way to Kobe’s Skills Academy where he was going to coach Gianna’s basketball team.

I cannot write about how Kobe’s inspired me to be a better basketball player, because I could probably count the number of times I’ve stepped foot on a basketball court on one hand. …

People close to me know how much I love spectator sports. I often end up switching over to ESPN and find myself 30 minutes into a handball match and now emotionally invested. Every sport is different. And I don’t mean in the sense that it has different rules, favours different athletic builds, or has differing levels of “excitement”. The beauty of an anthology series, especially one as well produced as Black Mirror, is that there is something for everyone to love. I admit, watching A Star is Born roughly 8 months after its initial release, after hearing people rave about it, after the hit song Shallow has reached peaked “overplayed” status on the radio and duly left our airwaves, might or might not have impacted how I felt about this film.

So overall I thought the movie was…..meh. The thing is, this film had all the makings of an above average film. Maybe not deserving of the hype it got but definitely should make me feel more than what I ended up feeling. The writing was pretty good, if not stellar…

I actually like the ending we arrived at the end of Game of Thrones. I like the idea of Dany as an unstoppable tyrant because after everything she’s gone through, she realized there’s no happy ending for her. She did horrible things to get to the throne and she realized she will need to continue to do horrible things to keep it.

Which means that eventually she would need to be stopped, and having Jon be the person to do it perfect. And the reason why its perfect is the same reason why I’m satisfied with Jon’s ending. Jon might…
