Corbyn is just the physical representation of Labours problems, even those who would be picked to replace him, don’t seem to have any resonance with the working class electorate. It has been bubbling under the surface for many years, all those safe Labour seats were the vote was weighed rather than counted, have, since the Brexit vote, found a freedom to express their feelings of hopelessness with the political system in refusing to play the old game, as you rightly point out, this new found freedom is affecting the Labour party more than the Conservatives, who haven't travelled far from their core vote, whereas Labour are now identified with a metropolitan, university educated elite, who sneer at the very thing that the working class hold dear, every time the Abbots or the Thornberry’s appear on television you just know that it will be turning more traditional Labour supports away to either the Tories or Ukip. I think we are seeing the demise of a once great, who have seen their Scottish base decimated and are now seeing the same problems coming to their English base, as well as the Welsh Valleys, who, don’t forget, voted mainly for Brexit, and whose MPs were all remainer’s.
