Well now, that’s definitely a difference between Canada and the US (and, other than the odd proclivity towards gun violence south of the border, actual cultural differences are few and far between). Up here in Canada, *tons* of people pretend to enjoy the winter Olympics. But then again, hockey is a keystone of the Canadian flavour of jingoistic bullshit.
