How This Hairspray Star Lost 150 Pounds, Built Her Stamina, and Had Her Whole World Open Up

After an embarrassing experience filming, she decided it was time to change her ways.

When Maddie Baillio was filming Cinderella in early 2020, she had a major wake-up call.

She felt comfortable but during one scene with hundreds of other dancers, her fitness (or lack thereof) caught up to her. She couldn’t keep up with the choreography and she kept losing her breath. The staff and film crew had to reshoot the scene over… and over again for her.

After this embarrassing experience, she decided she needed to increase her stamina. And shortly after, she was given that opportunity when everything shut down for Covid and she went back home to Texas.

Suddenly she had a huge an abundance of time on her hands, so she decided to start walking 30 minutes per day. Not only did getting out in the sun each day help her physically but mentally as well. She found could walk 30–60 minutes at first. The following week she bumped it up to 2 hours.
