Is healthy eating just tricking yourself into thinking bland food is tasty?
Came across a revealing question:
Is healthy eating just tricking yourself into thinking bland food is tasty?
When I first read this curve-ball question, I had to do a double-take because it’s such a foreign idea to me. In essence, this person believed the route to consistent weight-loss was paved in grilled chicken… roasted broccoli… and celery. Basically ‘bland food’ — and they thought they were giving up tasty food forever.
A few weeks back, I shared 12 mindsets of forever fitness to my MBB subscribers where I shared the following:
Explore healthy, delicious meals (it’s not ‘either or’)
Unfortunately, this dichotomy is how many people view healthy eating. And it’s not because they are stubborn or addicted to sugar or greasy foods necessary. In many cases, it’s that they have not seen enough examples of healthy, delicious meals.
Years ago, I did a little 8-week experiment where I decided to cut out all sugar (even fruit) along with all dairy and grains. What was left was mostly greens, sweet potatoes, fish, certain nuts and alternative flours (such as coconut, cassava, tigernut).
