A thing that’s happening
I had a list a couple of weeks ago.
Stuff I want to do:
-finish my second novel
-finish the indie game
-start "Bleeders' Digest"
-make "Terror Bears"
-more short fiction
The answer to this list was, at the time, watch more YouTube. I have a bit of an obsession with it. It's background noise. It's sleepy time TV. And, of course, it's entertainment.
Now, since then I've chipped away at a couple of things. I've added a whole new arc to the latter half of my novel and turned in Part I of the game I'm writing for. Short fiction will probably happen in bursts when it happens...although I recently got another idea that might well turn out to be a novella, but that'll have to wait. As will the "Terror Bears" until I have the necessary materials...and learn how to sew.
What I did accomplish within days of posting this silly little list on Twitter is a little venture I'm calling Bleeders' Digest.
What is Bleeders' Digest? Well, I'm not sure yet. So far, it's podcast reviews, story recommendations and whatever else I can think of that seems relevant at the time, all with a horror/bizarro/speculative/weird theme. British YA author John Clewarth has jumped on board for at least one issue, contributing to the true crime themed #2 due out mid-late September...or whenever I get it done. Could be sooner, might be later. But it does seem to be a thing that is happening.
As I am new to all this, it's a learning process. I know little more than how to link it and hope people can find the subscribe button. The more interested parties, the more lessons we'll learn together, I suppose. Meanwhile, if you're here you're interested in me or, at the very least, my work, which can be found here and here. And, while you're at it, why don't you pick up the paperback.

“Is that what you are here for? To restore balance?”
Astra raised his brows to the question, the answer seeming simple enough. “He—the Nothing Man—threatens that balance. Someone has to set it right.” But he couldn't do it alone.
And he wouldn't have to.
From his perch at the edge of his floating cloud kingdom, fledgling weather god Astra watches as a mysterious figure known only as the Nothing Man flaunts his power on a village below. He returns to his castle to consult his advisor, best buddy and crotchety old sprite, Reinbert, about undertaking the skybound tradition of pilgrimage in order to find a way to stop this man-made-god.
Turned away at his jilted ex lover’s temple, they are joined by a little wood nymph and a mysterious former minion of the Nothing Man himself. Together they begin the continent-wide trek for information and ammunition, through crystal-toothed caverns, mammoth forests and the beautifully lethal lands of Rhye. But is pinpointing the bad guy really so easy?
Join Astra and his not so ragtag little crew to find out in this both dark and comical look at epic fantasy.
