The Final Product

May 20, 2014

We had finished the chicken coop in April, and that was when I met the seven children that would be taking care of the chickens. They were about three years old to five years old, each one of them different. It was a touching moment when I got to spend time with them, and see how excited they were to work with the chickens. It was definitely worth all the time and effort we put into building this coop. After I met the kids, I went to go pick out some baby chicks. We ended up getting eleven baby chicks, and the kids got to name them, and take care of them before they were allowed to go into the coop. When I had came back to the school, I noticed that the kids painted the coop and put their hand prints up. It made me smile, knowing that they would get good use out of this.
