So, My Pebble Time Round Is Going Back To Singapore

Smartwatches are a dime a dozen nowadays, either getting the execution of its’ core either good or just plain horrid. There is a notable difference between them.

Some support existing platforms and carry a wide array of tools between their metal exteriors(Moto 360). Pocket knives of the wrists to outdo even Dick Tracey on calls, yet succumb to exclusivity to a select number of devices, such as the Apple Watch and Samsung Gear family. Others needing more of a leg up to even perform some of the slightest tasks, utilizing the latest and greatest ecostsystem to support some ok survival moves. Kickstarter barely makes the Power Ranger morpher selection any more easier. Especially when you back a followup. I even have a friend who literally bought the Gear and Moto 360, yet still makes fun of the choice I conjured. But in the world of “smart” stuff, I chose something that doesn’t mind being a bit less “smarter” than it lets off, and unlike my friend, I don’t have much to bitch about everytime I get a phone call.

I’ve grown attached to the Pebble. The Pebble is for notifications, from phone calls, and from several other apps. The older models do not sport the color and the less bulkiness as the newer Time SDK -infused gents, but it still feels as though the craftsmanship hardly ignores the original purpose of why it exists. The Pebble does what you need it to do without all the bells and whistles required to make it overbearing. When I upgraded to Time Steel, that feeling came back with a stronger battery. 10 days. The simplicity to it was restored. Like I need it to take pictures. Activate my phone, to do so — sure — but I don’t care if it gets my selfies in. Link up to my Stitcher to play my podcasts. Don’t replace my phone completely, to do that, and turn boast the same charge time I’d need to power it.

You see that last part there? that’s why I sent it back.
