For me there’s something in this about changing the thinking. How do we support people in the public sector to surface their current assumptions and thinking, and have opportunities to test and challenge their existing mental models?
I’m also interested in how we create spaces for reflection and encourage/support reflective practice. One of the things that has struck me is how often leaders and managers feel they have no time to stop and reflect on what they are doing and why.
If the thinking/assumptions start to change and we are more reflective, I think that can enable significant change in the public sector.
