I just have a “girl’s name”. Sometimes people will see my name and make comments like, “What do you know, you’re a girl.”

If someone corrects them, they suddenly respect my opinion more. It’s as though I suddenly learned something when they learned I had the proper sex organ.

And when that happens, I get just a taste of how hard it is to be a woman in this industry.

It amazes me how much hatred some men have towards women who have done nothing more than have the audacity to have an opinion about sports.
