Pre-adventure Intro:

I’m Kelsey—a college junior, getting dangerously close to my biggest adventure yet. TOMORROW, I will be flying out to San José in Costa Rica for my study abroad program. I’ll be staying at the School for Field Studies in Atenas; taking classes, doing research, and having the time of my life!

SO there are obviously many things I am excited about for this trip and also very nervous for. Because of the wonder of Facebook, I have already seen some of the students I’ll be staying with! They seem amazing and I can’t wait to get to know them in the next 3 months.

I will keep this updated (hopefully) once a week but no promises…I’m kind of hoping adventures will get the best of me.

As for my friends and family…words cannot explain the love I have with all of you back in Wisconsin. This summer has so special thanks to new jobs, new friends, stronger friendships, and independence. I’m so entirely grateful for the precious time I’ve spent with these amazing people, because lord knows I’ll be missing them like crazy the minute I land in San José.

I will be updating Facebook pretty constantly to let everyone know how I’m doing. So if you’d like to contact me at all, that’s the place to do it!

Well I’m going to sleep now. I’ve just been up for hours working and packing and my bed is calling my name for the last time for awhile.

Much Love,
