At least one good example I would point out is when Tom climbs out of the barrel of cider. It’s a great use of overlapping animation because his arms and legs are shaking and swinging as he’s practically stumbling out of the barrel. And then afterward, the way his motion continues to overlap with his arms swinging as he jumps from object to object. Comic animations of this era are great about that.
