So many transgender coming out stories take the form of declarations of identity, affirmations, and general assertions of strength. It’s easy to see all those narratives and think that being trans takes a strong conviction that I lack. But I can also see how these statements might actually represent people overcoming doubt, not denying it. Thank you for this insight.
