So what is the value of all this? I’m genuinely curious. If we accept that trans people are divided into distinct HSTS and AGP categories, where does that lead us?
I’ve read all the AGP research and am very familiar with the Blanchard typology, but the one thing I’ve never been able to get from the researchers is why the distinction matters. Does it lead to better, more effective treatment options for each group? Does it improve the lives of either transgender or cisgender people? Is this merely scientists attempting to better understand human nature?
I’d appreciate hearing your thoughts on how we can utilize the insights you’ve provided.
