1. I would like a special node that’s created automatically that takes this:

Projects > ProjectA > THINGIE1
Projects > ProjectC > Documentation > THINGIE2
Inventory > CannedGoods > THINGIE3

and creates this

MAGIC > CREATEDON > 2016 > Q2 > May > 6 > THINGIE1
MAGIC > CREATEDON > 2015 > Q4 > Dec > 25 > THINGIE2
MAGIC > CHANGEDON > 2013 > Q2 > Apr > 6 > THINGIE3
MAGIC > CHANGEDON > Q2 > THINGIE1
MAGIC > CHANGEDON > Q2 > THINGIE3

In other words, have various ways to get to a list of nodes by date criteria. If there’s nothing created in Feb, then there should be no Feb node under MAGIC.

Clicking on a THINGIE takes you to its official place in the hierarchy. In the MAGIC area, the only thing you can do with nodes is mark them completed or delete them.
