This is SUCH a good analysis of Drake! People don’t give him enough credit lyrically, I think you did a really good job of showing where his talents lie, and where they lack. I really like him as an artist, but I will have to agree with you that some of his songs seem to normalize and romanticize a love lost, when in fact it actually may reinforce a patriarchal society. I don’t think many people think about Drake’s lyrics, so good job bringing their problematic nature to light!
