One small step
Going forth
Going far
The beginning of a marathon
Of technological growth
Where shall we be tomorrow?

After opening Pandora’s box
Held in the confines of the atom
From bombs, to powerplants

All growth holds power for many intentions
Well-meaning or malicious
Empowering or depowering
Propaganda or truth’s media

Progress is the vessel of Pandora
Causing both suffering and pleasure
Incapable of being shoved back
From hence it came

Progress is neither “good” nor “bad”
It simply is
Necessary

Progress can allow humankind to deepen understanding,
And build a deeper tomorrow.
