To Tweet or not to Tweet
twitter is a social media account for people to be able to share and network with other people from around the world or within the work practices. within the 21st century learning a lot of schools have turned to twitter to be able to share educational resources and ideas of what other schools are doing within their school such as NAIDOC events, harmony days, education week and many more other fun educational and non-educational activities within the schools and wider community. Twitter is also used by many celebrities and news reporters to get things out to people around the world quickly.
Using twitter with in a school learning environment is how I would gain connections with other teachers and share resources within the teaching community. whilst studying at the Australian Catholic University it will be a great way to stay in contact with other students to be able to see how each other are coping while away from base and what activities others are doing within their learning and for some students it will be nice to see what others are doing within their schools.
By using your personal learning networking tools such as twitter I believe you can gain support and more knowledge. You can also share your ideas with other teachers/ students like yourself.
I would use twitter within my work practice to promote community and school events, work that is produced by students and professional learning that I have done so other educators can gain knowledge of what is available for them.
