Disney Tip # 3- Animal Kingdom at Night!
Animal Kingdom used to close right at dusk but because of the new additions to the park, it is now open after dark and there are lots of fun things to do. You can catch an evening safari — yes you read that right. They have lights to show you the animals. It’s very different experience but it’s pretty cool.
Pandora: The World of Avatar has spectacular lighting at night. Everything from the floating mountain to the pavement that lights up underneath your feet to the beautiful lights adorning the entire world… it’s amazing.
There is a nighttime show at Animal Kingdom you can go see if you want. I honestly thought it was pretty boring. It’s located directly across from Expedition Everest. There are much better nighttime shows to see in the other parks. Speaking of Expedition Everest, it’s much scarier at night. Enjoy!
There is a light show on the Tree of Life that is beautiful and worth seeing. Be sure and catch it. Animal Kingdom at night feels like an almost completely different park. Because a lot of people leave the parks when it gets dark or because they have dinner reservations, many of the wait times on the rides will be significantly shorter. Be sure and makes plans to explore this park at night at least once. It’s worth it!
