This is Walt Disney World’s nod to the famed grand Crystal Palace of England. It is ornately decorated on the inside. Inside this restaurant located in the heart of the Magic Kingdom to the front left of Cinderella’s Castle, near the entrance to Adventureland is one of the best character buffets in Walt Disney World.

It features characters from Winnie the Pooh’s story, including Eeyore, Piglet, Pooh, and everyone’s favorite: Tigger. They come by your table to interact and get photos with you. They’re all lots of fun. Well, Eeyore isn’t exactly fun, but ya gotta love him! Tigger is always a kid favorite. He may invite you to bounce around with him.

The food is buffet style and has nearly everything you’d ever want. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We’ve always enjoyed our meals. The service was always good and because you’re in close proximity to the castle, you can see the fireworks from your table if you’re seated near the windows and you time it out correctly.

Reservations for this are a must. If you wait until you arrive and try to get in as a walk up, plan to wait at least an hour to get a table. With reservations, you’ll be seated in 15–20 minutes.

Dining at the Crystal Palace at the Magic Kingdom

If you’re looking for a reasonably priced character buffet at Walt Disney World, it’s hard to go wrong with The Crystal Palace. One little clue: If you schedule an early breakfast buffet, you’ll get to enter the park early. This gives you an almost ghost town view of Main Street (provided it isn’t Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom).

One word of warning: You cannot eat at the buffet if you do not have a valid theme park ticket for that day! In other words, making a reservation at The Crystal Palace does you no good if you don’t have a Magic Kingdom ticket for that particular day! Be forewarned!
