I think the argument still holds. There’s no reason whatsoever to believe that multi-millionaire farmers are any more likely to destabilize the world’s economy because Trump got impeached for legitimate crimes.

However, I do think there would be a significant response, very likely a violent one. But the article is still overly vague. It makes no mention of how the consequences of Trump’s presidency could affect those very same voters. If his policies fail to deliver, it stands to reason that Trump’s position would be weakened. The argument begins on fairly solid ground, then goes off the rails.
