Former Denver Nuggets draft pick Erick Green (Virginia Tech), who finished this previous season with Zhejiang Golden Bulls, made his Kenner League debut with 31 points in a 80–71 win over the Clyde’s. This was Darren McClinton’s first game this season but always keeps a loaded roster. The Terps are making big impressions in Kenner League, Donta Scott and UNC-Charlotte transfer Jahmir Young (Maryland) contributed 31 points together also in the victory. Higher Level lost a close one last week to P.A.P.A but a bright spot was the emergence of George Mason guards Devin Dinkins and Devonte “Hollywood” Gaines who put up 18 and 25 points, respectfully. Higher Level is looking to dust off the loss with freshman guard Denver Anglin (Georgetown) continuing his strong play.

Other players to look for: D’Ante Bass (Georgetown), Noel Brown (George Washington), Reece Brown (Howard)

Call Your Mother (1–1) v On Point (0–2)

Call Your Mother did not play last week but they are one of the more talented teams in the league with guest appearances from week to week. Call Your Mother boasts a solid backcourt with former McDonald’s All American VJ King (Louisville), Ty Stewart (Saint Francis), and Darian Dixon (Fayetteville State). On Point missed their coach Barry Aberdeen last game and lost big to Blood, Skills and Guts but have a very talented group that is seeking their first win this season. Look for the guards to get returning sophomore Ryan Mutombo (Georgetown) involved early and go to another incoming Maryland shooter Noah Batchelor.

Other players to look for: Justyn Fernandez (George Mason), Ian Martinez (Maryland), Jordan Riley (Georgetown)
