Never underestimate the value of luck and timing for being successful. A goodly number of successful people can tell you the exact moment fate gave them a good turn-and without it, they may not have had the success they enjoyed. This could be in terms of finding a complementary partner, a good mentor, right place-right time, or any other serendipity-based good fortune. Emotional intelligence may increase one’s odds for encountering luck/timing because it provides greater exposure to both the possibility of encountering it, and also handling it well when it happens.
