“Little Red Corvette”, “Purple Rain”, “Diamonds and Pearls”, “Let’s Go Crazy” and many more just to name a few is from a talented instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer Prince Rogers Nelson.

Forget that he was 5’2” and wearing sometimes provocative or dressed in all purple, remember the man behind the music and his contribution to American music as an icon, musical dynamo that certainly was demonstrated throughout his career. Every recording and live concerts proves the ever wondrous of every song touching people and places.

We are grateful to had such a talented showman like Prince but we know very little about his personal life, stories tell us of a quiet, private person who is very charitable organizations locally.

It is safe to say he has inspired new artists and contributed music to other artists over the years not being selfish with his music but sharing it with others.

To be honest, I wasn’t much of a fan when he started during the late 70’s because of the stuff he used to do on stage making the women scream and ticking off men. It was during the movie “Purple Rain” that’s when I understand this artist. This was the movie that caught my attention about this artist which launched him an Oscar for Best Song that year.

And so, we remember and celebrate this artist at his best; remembering him for this artist as he was and will be remembered….Rest in peace Prince Nelson.
