Reading this article from Gary Vee — who i feel is either a megalomaniac or a gifted marketer. You’d believe the answer to all your wildest dreams about creating a brand that everyone wants is simply to create content, after all its easier and cheaper than ever before…
except.
Except, who’s going to read it? do they even care?
What i will say though is its clearer than ever before than for brands to truly stand out they NEED to produce content, content IS the brand, so the question is… are you creating the kind of content AND product your target audience want?
Next, how are you going to get your content and product in front of these people? When i worked in a media agency (former COO), the number one misconception i would encounter is that somehow its possible to “MAKE a viral” — No. No its not. The answer is targeting the right audience with the right content, congruency of message and target audience, you’re looking for content that resonates with the audience on a media channel that fits with the audience.
