Opportunity & Opposition

“Opportunity is not met without oppostion.”

Last week I wrote an article about my opportunity to speak at a Junior High Winter Camp. While at first I was not sure about whether or not to accept, I took a big step and jumped right in.

Little did I know when I say yes to speaking what challenges I would face because of it.

“You’re not good enough.”

“You’re going to make a fool out of yourself.”

These were the kinds of thoughts that were flooding my mind almost every hour — and thats just the beginning!

I started having stressful conversations at work and “conflicts” with my co-workers. (Which weren’t actually conflicts, it was just negativity that was trying to seep into my relationships.)

Just about every area of my life has been, at one point, been challenged ever since I said “yes”. And it’s still going.

If I could sum up the last two weeks in one sentence it’s this:

“Opportunity is not met without opposition.”

What have you learned about breakthroughs in life, work, and ministry thought the years regarding conflict and/or opposition? I would love to hear your thoughts below!
