A simple hack

The Bitcoin and Blockchain space has been hot. This interest, whether stemming from speculation or an opportunity to improve a traditional infrastructure, has caused much excitement around a highly technical subject. As an engineering student, I have found myself preaching the promises of the blockchain, but when asked by a non-technical friend, I fail to distill the technical jargon into a digestible bite. I am afraid this situation is common among recent crypto enthusiasts.

A multi-layered understanding and ability to clearly communicate each layer is crucial to the sustainability of the Blockchain Revolution.

One communication hack is to start with the most simple mental models and work your way up to the most complex when prompted. The goal is to give the most engaging but accurate pieces within each layer of your understanding. It is important to not bombard your passions, but instead, allow the recipient to go through an organic discovery process.

“Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” — Leonardo da Vinci

Although this is a personal favorite of mine, I am still learning as a young caterpillar to the butterflies in this world, so any feedback is appreciated!

Someone new to the blockchain space may be in an area that lacks fellow crypto enthusiasts. I happen to be one of them, so to stress test my technical communication skills, I plan on attending The North American Bitcoin Conference (TNABC).

With 1500 attendees and the top experts in the community, this conference is one that cannot be missed! Check it out: https://btcmiami.com/
