Senior Art Project: Reduction Print

Week 9 Blog

Chapter 9

Mexican food seemed to be around today, at class and now they’re making churros in the kitchen. But what also seemed to be around today was productivity. First, I cranked out a decent logo to present. Everybody’s logos were good, but I was kind of disappointed when a good amount were hand done. That’s not a bad thing, at all, but when I think logo design I think it should be computer or program done.

Second item of productivity was the group activity we had to do at the end of the night. My group is super great, I’m working with Kent, Derrick, and Zach. We all seem to be on the same page about where we want to go design wise with our project and I think we can work well together.

The last little bit of productivity that lingered its way through the day came to me after class. I started planning for the next two projects I have to do and I did some mapping out of the rest of my semester.

One of the projects coming up is the letter making project. I am so excited to do this one! I did a little print making in high school and I absolutely love it. I was bummed when Katie said we couldn’t do a reduction but I’m still looking forward to finishing my letter design.

I’m also looking forward to seeing what my group will come up with for the activity we got. We all bring different design views and talents to the table, while we still agree on a great amount of stuff, so that’ll make things interesting. Tonight has been great.
