Amrita Rao, who is popularly known as Ammy, was born on 10 October 1984 in Mumbai. Her father was an engineer and her mother was a teacher. She studied at St. Joseph’s High School and thereafter she decided to become an actress with her interest growing towards modeling at a very young age. She made her Bollywood debut with Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai (2000) opposite Salman Khan. The film did good business at box office that made Amrita famous.
