The next article I was captivated by, found on designboom:

From the carpet to the roof to the hand rail and the walls, this stair case is completely full of design and it is incredible — no doubt about that. The more you look, the more you will notice and appreciate the amount of time and detail that was spent designing this. Each pattern, line and colour has been placed next to each other on purpose to create contrast. This of course makes it even more eye grabbing and allows it to seek the deserved attention. Each level that you come across has been designed individually.

Quoted from the article, the designer Sasha Bikoff states,

before she even started making fabric selections and pulling paint swatches, she knew she wanted her space to speak to the kids and show them that their creativity should always be ignited when it comes to achieving their dreams.’

This underlying meaning has been shown through the bold choice of colour and the vibrancy of the staircase — has a voice of its own.

The end outcome was to be fun, playful, outgoing and unusual in comparison to the standard staircase and has the purpose to influence children. The colours are primarily pastel making the whole experience enjoyable. This although, has then been split by the white and black contrast of shapes, making you follow all the lines and see how they all join. This artwork will never fail to its purpose as it is so captivating in the layout — the one-way path upwards, showing how it all blends together.

Even the furniture has been carefully placed — the unusually bordered mirror angled to show the next flight of stairs; this reflecting more pattern and the seating areas placed symmetrically at either side, makes it obvious the position was on purpose.
