Big Data in 1939

I really like to this nice picture that came up in my Twitter feed last summer. I made a modified tweet of it:

I was reminded of it the other day when it was re-tweeted again. It has been re-tweeted almost 200 times.

I managed to find the source of it. It was in a serie in Telegraph Travel: The history of the Tube in pictures: 150 years of London Underground.
