This one really stuck a cord with me, growing up i copped it left right and center for being Indian, i remember when i was in high school i felt shamed of being Indian and the stereotypes was one clear thing to pick on me, however i used comedy and jokes to go with the flow, but deep down i didn’t liked it and hoped Indian’s were portrayed in a much better sense.

Year’s went by and the media slightly changed the views on Indian’s example Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra has taken the music industry by storm with successful singles and scored her self a tv drama and gone on further to do a Baywatch movie and expanded her positive image worldwide and tackled serious issues among India to broaden people outside of India on what is really going on.

Jusreign and Superwomen the YouTube and social media super star’s have changed the online market worldwide on stereotypical Indian's through comedy and discussions of serious issues that they have gone through personally.

While over here in Australia i have mate who is Indian an aspiring actor and trying to score some acting roles in Australian television or films, and unfortunately the role he is getting are the typical stereotypical Indian role either a guy behind a counter or basic office worker lol and not a overally wide range of role’s that express Indian’s in a different way.

To sum it up there are some positive growth for Indian’s among worldwide due to YouTube stars or social media and some Bollywood stars crossover to Hollywood. I personally hope Indian television drama’s improve and have similarly positive interest worldwide like Korean and Japanese drama’s instead of the those crappy traditional Indian drama’s like daughter in law vs the mother’s son fight for who runs the house lol.
