The Green Corridor
Singapore used to have a railroad going through the country, which was owned by Malaysia. For years the Malaysian government left it there and then finally removed the tracks, leaving a lengthy corridor crossing Singapore.
There were plans in place to develop the corridor, but these ideas received a lot of rejection from Singaporeans. It was finally decided that the area should be left “green” as an area for Singaporeans and visitors to enjoy.
We only did a very short part of the green corridor near our house, so we’ll definitely head back out there soon…
