This article was the push I needed to quit my job at a startup I was working as an employee/potential-cofounder at. It resonated so much that before starting a review oriented discussion with the founder I printed this article out and handed it to him. I gave him a few minutes to read it and his take was that the concept of employees being the biggest risk takers is a big joke. That was all I needed to quit.
Thank you very much for articulating so succinctly what had to be said long back. I am sure the reasons for founders being this way are myriad (investors, personality issues, funding oriented decision making etc), just that as an employee there is no need to put up with this.
