Context: The Magistracy is a Sortition-based governance mechanism for the ThousandEtherHomepage NFT community. Read more about it in the Age of the 👑Magistrate announcement.

Jesters of the court are pleased to announce the Age of the 🎊Jubilee for the ThousandEtherHomepage sortition governance.

The first 🎊Jubilee can occur as of the 6th anniversary of the ThousandEtherHomepage:

August 27th, 2023 (Epoch: 1693097690)

In this new era, we introduce a suite of mechanisms to further empower the 👑Magistrate and advance our experimental society:

  1. Baubles: Once upon a sortition term, the acting 👑Magistrate is able to initiate a Jubilee🎊 to mint 1,621 Baubles (an ERC-20 token) to utilize as seen fit: baubles.kether.eth
  2. Publisher: A new contract (publisher.kether.eth) and frontend (publisher.thousandetherhomepage.com) which allows TEH ad owners to delegate publish rights to any other address or to the acting magistrate.
  3. Publisher Settings are controlled by the 👑Magistrate, including activating an ERC-20 token fee to be paid out to the ad owner each time a delegated publish occurs, and activating a time interval between publish updates. (No frontend, can be set on your favourite contract explorer.)
  4. Ad Editor Frontend has been retrofitted to support publishing as a delegate.

We hope that future 👑Magistrates find the wisdom and courage to use these mechanisms to flourish our community by recognizing and rewarding the good stewards of the court, for actions in past and future.

In addition many minor improvements and housekeeping:

  • Since the Rinkeby testnet has been sunset, the entire ThousandEtherHomepage contract suite has been deployed on Sepolia with a fresh start, they can be found in the footer of the landing page.
  • The mainnet contracts have been mapped as ENS subdomains to make them easier to find and verify: nft.kether.eth, sortition.kether.eth, baubles.kether.eth, publisher.kether.eth
  • Migrated from WalletConnect v1 to v2 (this was an annoying cascade of drama).
  • Monthly cache is now automatically generated to speed up page loads.
