#COHEzIONS*: Conversations On Human Equity that bind us together
My friend with the silver open roof coupé
My friend had a silver open roof coupé
And we went for long drives together
I loved when we cruised down Marine Drive
The feel of the wheels moving effortlessly down the road
The wind in my hair.
One day the old faithful sputtered and came to a stop.
My friend loved taking the car apart.
The engine now sat dissected in his den
As he peered over It
Lost in trying to figure out what part was broken
And what part needed fixing.
I watched and observed …
He understood every part of his coupé.
And with loving care and with a lot of tinkering
He soon had it all fixed up.
And back on the road were we
The car, my friend and I
Cruising again on the road of life.
At times he couldn’t fix it himself
And then he would need to call in the experts…
Take the car to the garage
And soon he would have it all fixed up.
And back on the road would we be
The car, my friend and I
Cruising again on the road of life.
On the road of life, our own “cars” as in ourselves
We too sputter and stop at times
And we break down.
We need to then take ourselves apart.
Introspect
And understand each part of ourselves..
Our thoughts, our fears, our desires, our blockages
And with loving care and with a lot of tinkering
We too would soon have it all fixed up.
And back on the road would we too be
Cruising again on the road of life.
The break down
It could be ourselves,
Our relationships, our startups, our bodies, our physical health, our mental health.
You just need to dive in.
Dissect the issues, fix what needs fixing, oil what needs oiling,
Replace what needs replacing, add new parts if required
Take help where required, call in the experts if need be.
Then put it all back together again
And be back on the road again
Cruising again on the road of life.
