Yeah, I was sick, and so I was watching online. I saw Moonlight a while ago in the theaters. I watched La La Land while sick, then wanted to watch another contender so that I could root against La La Land having actually seen it. I had just watched La La Land, and Fences was pretty intense, so I only stuck through the opening 20 minutes. But, just based on that, it seemed significantly better than either of the other two in my opinion. The only knock against it was that it was clearly adapted from a play, so they sit around talking a lot, but I didn’t mind that.
