It’s that lovely time of year again! August is always an exciting month for football fans, especially fantasy football die hards. By now, you’ve talked to your buddies about guys you like, guys you’d avoid and all of the in between. Today, I’m gonna target 3 QBs that can help you return to (or stay) a fantasy football champion!

#1. Matt Ryan-Falcons

Ryan will always seemingly fall just outside the Top 10 in terms of QB rankings but the production is there. Last season, Ryan eclipsed 4,500 passing yards with 26 passing TDs. Solid numbers yes, but what I see a small increase in both areas. With new offensive minded Head Coach Arthur Smith & #4 overall pick Kyle Pitts, I see Ryan putting up 18–20 fantasy points a game. Anyone who has ever watched him play knows he isn’t exactly burning anyone with his legs so be happy with anything you get there. I see Ryan being a borderline Top 10 QB again this season and could be a nice find in the later rounds.

#2. Joe Burrow-Bengals

Burrow was having a really nice start to his NFL career last season before a devastating ACL tear forced him to miss the rest of the season. But in limited time, Burrow played really well. In 10 starts, he passed for over 300 yards five times, including one game over 400 yards. Along with the chemistry he dames with WRs Tee Higgins & Tyler Boyd, he’ll also get his college running mate as well as Cincinnati drafted LSU WR Ja’Marr Chase #5 overall. Burrow did average 14 yards a game with his legs with 3 rushing TDs. Not exactly a huge threat but any points help! This kid is a budding superstar, expect Burrow to bounce back strongly in 2021.

#3. Kirk Cousins-Vikings

Kirk Cousins is an interesting name to me. You’ll hear people say he isn’t worth his contract or he can’t win big games etc. Well this is fantasy football, none of that matters! Bottom line is, whatever you think about him, he does put up good numbers. Cousins lost WR Stefon Diggs last off-season but it didn’t seem to matter. Cousins put up 35 TD passes along with 4,200+ through the air. He still has his main weapons in Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen, Justin Jefferson & emerging TE Irv Smith Jr. Not only do I see Minnesota bouncing back, I think Cousins helps lead the way. I see Cousins finishing anywhere from 8–12 in fantasy terms.

I don’t think any of these guys are going to win you a league by themselves but they can be really productive players for your team this season! If you miss out on the top notch guys, I really wouldn’t have any reservations about rolling with one of the three mentioned. They will all put up anywhere from 15–20 points with the occasional over here and there. You can draft strong at RB & WR early because these 3 will be waiting in the later rounds to be the cherry on top for your squad. Good luck everyone!
