Facts of sin

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23(KJV)

Man was created to have fellowship with God; but because of his stubborn self-will, he chose to go his own independent way and fellowship with God was broken. This self will, characterized by a attitude of active rebellion is evidence of what the Bible calls SIN.

But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, Galatians 3:22(KJV)

The Old Testament showed that all men are sinners, including those under the law. There is no mention of doing or law-keeping that makes any one good.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; Isaiah 53:6(KJV)

The truth is that we were the ones who went astray and who walked in self-will, and Jehovah placed our iniquity on Christ, the sinless Substitute.

The Penalty for Sin

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. 1 Timothy 1:15 (KJV)

It is worthy of all acceptance because it applies to all, tells what God has done for all, and extends the gift of salvation to all. Men can afford to believe this statement with implicit trust. Indeed, to disbelieve it is unreasonable and unwise.

For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. Luke 19:10 (KJV)

The conversion of sinners was a fulfillment of the very purpose of Christ’s coming into the world.

Christ Died to Pay the Penalty

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Ephesians 1:7(KJV)

Redemption is the excellence of God’s eternal plan for His people. This describes that aspect of the work of Christ by which we are released from captivity and bondage of sin and introduced into a life of liberty. The Lord Jesus is the Redeemer (In Him we have redemption). We are the redeemed. His blood is the ransom price; nothing less would do.

whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Acts 10:43(KJV)

See how the judgment can be avoided. It is an offer given to all the world. Would you like to know the forgiveness of sins? Then believe in Him!

Salvation is free Gift

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out. Acts 3:19(KJV)

The times of refreshing ... from the presence of the Lord refer to the blessings of Christ’s future kingdom on earth.

What must I do to be saved?

Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Acts 16:30-31(KJV)

Know you were lost before Christ came to save. It is premature to tell a man how to be saved until first he can say from his heart, I truly deserve to go to hell. All who hear gospel are told to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ as all mankind are convicted sinners. The meaning is that if you believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, then you would be saved. As a sinner when realize oneself in condition of lost, helpless, hopeless, hell-bound, and when ye are told to believe on Christ as Lord and Savior, ye knows exactly what it means. It is the only thing left that you can do!

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13(KJV)

This is the universality of the gospel. One could scarcely wish for a simpler statement of the way of salvation than is found in these words: Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. The name of the Lord stands for the Lord Himself.

Receive Christ as Saviour

Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. 2 Corinthians 6:2(KJV)

All must individually recive Jesus Christ as our personal saviour and Lord; then we can know and xperience God's love and plan for our lives.
