Really enjoyed the article and agree that Amazon is a much better option than the previous Twitter deal. Still, I’d love to see the NFL on Facebook. Facebook has gone to great lengths to make video a more prominent part of the feed and with the social engagement already integrated, fans would be able to discuss the game and banter with one another on the same screen. It could also provide analysts the ability to respond to fans comments in real time, which could really change the dynamic of how we watch sports. With an estimated 195 million users in the United States and over 1.8 billion in the world, Facebook offers a much larger possible audience compared to Amazon Prime. Maybe it’s a pipe dream, but I feel like NFL and Facebook could be the perfect marriage. Cord cutters could finally watch football (barely its still Thursday Night Football) and it could most certainly increase social media interaction during the broadcasts. In the mean time Amazon is most definitely a better home for football than Twitter, but I will always dream about America’s favorite sport on Facebook.
