ePersonate provides all the safeguards to make sure no mistakes are done during the process and gives detailed logs of what happened during impersonations.

In my previous positions, I realised that a big part of an engineer role is to diagnose customers issues. It is often very tempting to just go ahead and connect on behalf of your customer. A lot of companies have already implemented a quick and dirty solution often referred to as impersonation system.

Impersonating comes with a huge risk of doing irreversible mistakes. There are rarely good metrics around which admin took an action and more importantly, the customer is not even aware that it did happen!

For those reasons, CTOs and Director Of Engineering are reluctant to giving access to such features to their Support and Engineer teams which often leads to frustration for both the team and the end users.

That is why ePersonate comes with a very opinionated answer to how impersonation should be done by making customer approval mandatory, preserving customer privacy, while reducing the risks during the process.

ePersonate works as a standalone product or integrated with your customer support tools.
