I’m proud to have served with people from all kinds of backgrounds. I’m proud to be from a family with 4 generations of military service, despite the battles for freedom we also had to (and in some ways still do) fight at home. I’m proud of any and every person that takes the oath to serve, regardless of their sexual identity. I’m proud of any person that believes military members should be given all that they need to do the work that 99% of the nation can’t/won’t ($84m for Viagra and $8m for gender health services are small prices to pay for 240+ years of freedom).

And I’m proud of GA for supporting the military and their fellow citizens by taking a stance against any and all forms of discrimination. Statements of solidarity like this help to remind all citizens that if they want freedom and democracy to continue, they must be willing to allow others to enjoy it as well.
