Kevin Cook Austin: This article focuses on how music impacts our day to day lives. It shows the impact of music upon the sick, children and couples. It focuses on how music knows no bounds and is a universal expression of peace, love and harmony.

Music is rightly known as the food for the soul. Music knows no barriers and is the ultimate expression of one’s love, passion, and feelings. Music conveys the message of humanity and humility. The power of music is such that people from different ethnicities and background can get united because of it.

The barrier of language also does not stand in the way of music, and anyone can enjoy it whenever or wherever he likes. Music can heal broken hearts and heal depression. It can bring a smile to a teary face and happiness to a sad heart.

According to Victor Hugo, “With the help of music, one can express those emotions, which are otherwise hard to be put into words.” It does not matter whether you want to express love or anger, happiness or disappointment, you can always do so with the help of music. Music makes it easy to express those feelings in a proper manner which, in most of the cases, simply accumulate inside of you without you finding the way to vent them properly.

Medical science is also aware of the impact of music upon us in our daily life. Many doctors recommend listening to soft music when a person is in a depression or otherwise feeling sad. According to them, music can have a really positive impact upon the heart of the listener and can revive his spirit. Playing of loud music when a woman is in labor is also recommended to subside the affect the pain may have on her. According to Bob Marley, the renowned musician, “One does not feel any pain when listening to music.”

Little babies also develop instant liking for music. Mothers sing them their favorite lullabies to calm them and while putting them to sleep. School going children also learn a lot of new things from music in the form of nursery rhymes. In fact, music is a great source of learning and memorization as well.

If you are having a hard time communicating with your spouse or partner, then you can easily convey your feelings of love for them through music. It can not only bring two hearts together but can also reignite the romance which you may have lost due to the extremely busy lives which we all live.

Sufism uses music for enhancing the love between a human and God and is considered to be as the best expression of love by the Sufis. In the Mayan religion, music was used during burial ceremonies to express grief. Music was also played when a war was won to express happiness and excitement. The Church prayers are also a manifestation of the importance of music in our daily life to show our gratitude towards God and to express our love for Him.

Music has the power to bring people together. It creates harmony and love and delivers positive thoughts and vibes. Music brings people together and makes them experience lots of new and different things.
