A message to the boys on the first day of school
Our wonderful boys! One day you might read this and maybe by then you will know, you will understand, how much love we have for you. I’m not sure you will though. Because it’s more than anyone can understand. But then again, you don’t have to understand. Because you are actually the personification of that incomprehensibly big love that mama and I have. You’re made of that love. And we are so so proud of you today. Xavier starting middle school on a new campus. Cyprian now without his big brother in the primary school. You know how mama would wrap you in her arms on a day like this with the biggest smile, and on a big day like today I’m so sure there would have been tears of joy and pride. You’ve both embodied her awesomeness in so many ways and my heart is both bursting with love for you while being shattered that she’s not here with us in person. And yes, she’ll always be in our hearts, but more than that, mama knew that she would live on in you, and I see how true that is every single day. Mama and I love you guys more than you can ever imagine. Never forget. Never doubt. Never despair. Because that love is strong enough to carry you through all of life’s adventures ❤️
