Nice try, Lindsay, but how about just conceding the fact that this case was bogus to begin with. Crying “rape culture” everytime someone takes someone to court and lose is ridiculous. The accuser (Monica Los Rios) began describing herself as pure, chaste and unlikely to do many of the things that we later discover she did do, so it’s well within the defense’s grounds to attack that image she portrayed and present whatever facts necessary to reveal the truth. That’s not rape culture, that’s common sense

A more important issue is how often these false rape accusations hurt accusations by actual victims. It’s an ugly truth that no one likes to acknowledge or talk about, but people aren’t thinking these accusers gold-diggers without reason — because some of them legitimately ARE only trying to get paid.

Worry more about THAT than beating dead horses about some illusory “rape culture”
