Really interesting piece, especially since this is something I’ve been wrestling with for the last year or so. I am not sure, for me, that it’s the salary that’s the addiction as much as the uncertainty of a leap into the unknown. I think if I had a clearer idea of what I would be leaping to (i.e. a very specific idea of what I would or could do outside the confines of Corporate America), then this would be a far simpler proposition.
