A Response to “The End of Twitter”

I think proclaiming the death of Twitter is a bit premature. They seem to have some significant challenges ahead, but I agree completely that Twitter works for me.

I cannot stand Facebook’s constant interjection of content I do not care about into my newsfeed (what friends of friends posted or liked, etc.) without proper tools to filter said content.

With Twitter I only hear from those I follow and in the instances where they RT something it aligns to why I follow that person.

My question for Twitter is why are they afraid to charge to use the service like WhatsApp used to do? I’d gladly pay monthly to keep it alive and well for users like me. Even $1 per month over millions of users adds up and could potentially allow for slightly easier abuse removal.
